Fred Yates (1922-2008) was a well known figure in the art world, with a unique and simplistic style that earned him acclaim. Though Yates was not a local artist, he spent much time in Sutton and painted many local scenes. To celebrate the vibrancy of Carshalton’s local art scene, and as part of the annual CAOS Festival, this exhibition shares a selection of works by Yates which show the Borough in its full colourful glory.
