Karen McCarthy Woolf FRSL is celebrated for her poetry. Her debut collection, An Aviary of Small Birds, was shortlisted for prestigious awards and was an Observer Book of the Year. Her second collection, Seasonal Disturbances, won the Laurel Prize for ecological poetry.

In this conversation, Shani Akilah will engage with Woolf about her transition from poetry to prose, the inspiration behind Top Doll, and the intricate ways in which Woolf's poetic sensibilities infuse her novel.
