Event Description

This exhibition showcases works from the spring term creative course organised by Refugee and Migrant Network Sutton (RMNS) by for refugees and migrants in the London Borough of Sutton, funded by the National Lottery and City Bridge Foundation.

Led by artist and immigrant Arzu Taylan Ersoz, the workshop centered on "Draw Like a Child" and "Painting Beautiful Memories." Arzu's method encourages participants to connect deeply with their inner child, the most receptive and unpredictable part of themselves. Techniques included yoga and breathing exercises, helping participants overcome self-doubt and embrace spontaneity in their painting and drawing. Inspired by this approach, participants continued creating beyond the sessions, with some even daring to paint on their walls. This exhibition celebrates their journey and creative expression.

This Exhibition will take place in the gallery space on Sutton Libraries' second floor. No Booking is required.
