Birds of Beddington 1

Join the BFBG and the Farmland Warden for a day of events to celebrate the Wandle Fortnight. This birding tour is the first of four site tours celebrating the ornithology of this unique London Nature Reserve. 

BFBG members will lead a walk across the site watching and listening for the first signs of the ornithological autumn migration. Beddington Farmlands has long been known as a migration hot-spot so fingers crossed and binoculars at the ready. 

Beddington Farmlands is a ‘work in progress’ so attendees must be confident on their feet and wear sturdy shoes as the terrain is uneven and broken in many places. Pumps, flip flops etc will be turned away. It can get cold at the top so dress warmly and appropriately for the weather conditions. No facilities, No under 18s. 

The meeting location will be Mile Road Gate at the mid point of the Farmlands Permissive Path - ///spray.park.spider. Do not head to the Beddington Park Pavillion.
